Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp, a Canadian actress and actor, is known for playing the lead in a variety of television programs as well as her outstanding performances in films. The audience for her work is both Canadian and American TV. When Emily was 12 she became attracted to acting when she visited her sister Katie while filming one of her movies. Once she discovered her passion for acting she started taking classes in acting and going to auditions. After several commercials that were successful, she was quickly booked in the Canadian Kids' Horror TV series Are You scared of Dark? One scene in which she appeared without speaking even a single word. In the year 15 Emily got her first big break after she became a regular on the WB program Glory Days. Even though the show was cancelled after just nine episodes, Emily's acting was noticed by Dawson's Creek writer Greg Berlanti who decided to cast her in his TV show Everwood. Emily was also an artist and ballerina, was named by Teen magazine as one of the best actresses younger than 20. The actress was named the 51st on the Maxim's Hot 100 list of 2014.
